Electric shock therapy, also known as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), is a treatment method that involves administering a brief electric current through the brain of a patient. This stimulates neural impulses, which have been shown to treat symptoms of certain mental disorders. ECT is typically used as a last resort for patients who haven't respon
